Did you know nearsightedness in kids can be slowed and even stopped? Learn about myopia control here!

25% of school-age children experience problems with their vision.

Children should have their first eye exam by the time they are six months old to identify potential problems that can occur soon after birth. Before first grade, schedule a complete well-vision exam to make sure vision problems won’t affect their adjustment to school.

A complete well-vision exam can screen for:

  • Nearsightedness (myopia)
  • Farsightedness (hyperopia)
  • Eye turns
  • Poor binocular vision
  • Eye health and ocular surface problems (dry eye)
